ONONA: TIME IN TIME

What is ONONA?
ONONA are neofuturistic art sculptures in stainless steel, wood, aluminium, bronze, and acrylic plastic by D. M. CHERINA.

As Henry Moore’s assistant, CHERINA created this new art as a continuation of advanced thinking regarding the opening of new horizons of the great master Henry Moore through his revolutionary, imaginative, futuristic art—sculpture.

Learning and following the advice of his masters Oscar Nemon and Henry Moore, CHERINA turned the corner of replacing Henry Moore’s round modeling with geometrical forms in scientifically controlled compositions in 360° (5-3) perfect harmony. As for the subject matter, CHERINA followed Henry Moore’s great creation of the “King and Queen” sculpture.

So, CHERINA decided to use two basic complementing elements in nature that are capable of producing new life – man and woman. Numerous incredible situations constantly happen in changing between man and woman in life. This is sculpturally addressed in numerous compositions that these two unique shapes as sculpture create.

This neo-futuristic art expresses and embodies the very fabric of existence and mentally connects us with a great variety of creations. In the end, the achievement of a perfect circle as life cycles emerges in such a way that it shows how incredible and valuable life is and should not be taken for granted.

The placing or positioning of art pieces is in the eyes and control of the beholder. Any feelings could be followed, from love to hate and all in between. Harmony is there for the beholder to master.

What CHERINA is doing, he makes a direct connection between work of fine art and human being.

He is trying to say that they need each other just as Rodin said to his “Thinker” after finishing his work “Now, talk!”.

“Just as a yacht masters the waves, ONONA embodies the human spirit’s ability to chart its own course, embracing the freedom and exhilaration of exploring the unknown.”

ONONA is a symbol of freedom and wisdom and is indeed the product of our free will.

ONONA is an inspiration in exploring the unknown.

What are we all about? Only our free will can take us there; true ONONA, which is trying to find the answer, and that makes us imagine that ONONA becomes our free will itself.
We’re on a journey to discover our true purpose. To get there, we need to tap into our own free will.

ONONA represents this quest for self-discovery, and in doing so, it becomes an expression of our own inner freedom and choice.
